Kuo Chuan Kung

Mr. Kung has 25 years of private equity and consulting experience in Greater China, Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia and the U.S. Prior to Nexus Point, Mr. Kung co-founded MBK Partners and was Partner and the Head of Greater China for the firm from its founding in 2005 to 2016. Prior to MBK Partners, Mr. Kung was Managing Director for Carlyle Asia Partners where he was responsible at various periods for investments in China, Southeast Asia and Australia.

Mr. Kung started his career with McKinsey & Company in Hong Kong and New York, where he was last an Engagement Manager advising clients on an array of strategic and operational matters in telecom/media, consumer and financial services sectors. Mr. Kung received a BA with double major in Economics and Engineering from Dartmouth College, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. Kung was born in Taiwan and grew up in Taiwan and Hong Kong.


Richard Wong

Mr. Wong has 20 years of investment banking and corporate finance experience. Prior to Nexus Point, Mr. Wong was Managing Director and Co-Head of the M&A Department at Morgan Stanley Asia, the largest M&A group across all bulge bracket firms in the region. Under Mr. Wong’s leadership, Morgan Stanley’s M&A Group ranked No. 1 or No. 2 across Asia for each of the last four years and ranked No. 1 in China cross border deals over the same period. Mr. Wong played a key role in building Morgan Stanley’s Asia M&A business. Mr. Wong is one of Asia’s most experienced M&A bankers having advised on over US$110 billion of transaction volume.

Mr. Wong also worked in the M&A advisory groups at Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan in Hong Kong and New York. Mr. Wong graduated from Georgetown University in 1996 with a degree in American Government where he was a Baker Scholar.


Min Li

Mr. Li has 16 years of private equity, investment banking and consulting experience. Mr. Li joins Nexus Point from Bain Capital Asia where he was a Principal focused on buyout investments in the region. Mr. Li was also in charge of Bain Capital’s healthcare sector efforts in China. While at Bain Capital, Mr. Li led and closed several transactions in the healthcare and education sectors in China. Previously, Mr. Li was a Vice President at Global Infrastructure Partners in charge of investment origination and execution in the transportation, power, energy and water/waste management sectors in Asia.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Li was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan in Hong Kong and a management consultant with PwC Consulting. Mr. Li graduated with a Bachelor of Economics, Finance from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, 1997 and has a MBA, Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, 2004.


Raman Yiu

Mr. Yiu has 25 years of fund administration and accounting experience. Prior to Nexus Point, Mr. Yiu was Chief Financial Officer of Bain Capital Asia where he oversaw the financial control function, risk management and transaction support for the firm in Asia. Prior to joining Bain Capital in 2006, Mr. Yiu worked at The Carlyle Group, Barings Asset Management and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Yiu received an MBA from University of Wales (Cardiff Business School) and a BA from University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Mr. Yiu is a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois, USA).
